The mid-twentieth century was a great era for the popular song. The golden age of movie musicals brought us classics like “Over the Rainbow”. At the same time, the sophisticated jazzy tunes of Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, and many more captivated listeners.  A few years later, great artists like Etta James, Dionne Warwick, and Stevie Wonder brought us one gem of a song after another, each one woven into the fabric of the lives. The classic soul music of the sixties and seventies is also a rich source of memorable music, with an emphasis on danceable rhythms and messages of peace and love.

Little Doors is a musical group that wanders through this seemingly endless canon of great songs, gathering tunes like shells on the beach and taking them home to enjoy again and again. Simply presented with vocals, guitar, upright bass and/or percussion, these songs take the listener to a place in their past; A place of nostalgia evoking forgotten joys or heartaches, sometimes with a fresh appreciation that comes from having been away from an old friend for too long.
